Ortofon MC Verismo

The MC Verismo was introduced to take advantage of all the latest Ortofon technologies, including Selective Laser Melting, the Ortofon Replicant 100 diamond stylus and diamond cantilever, and a three-point contact system for perfect mechanical integration with the tonearm. Also leveraged are Ortofon's Field Stabilizing Element, Wide Range Damping system, and a new rubber compound for the suspension, for improved dynamics, resolution, and detail.
Verismo name is derived from the Italian "vero", meaning "true" and "realism". Verismo was a post-Romantic opera genre and is associated with many Italian composers who sought to portray the world with greater realism.
